Account Services Specialist III

 

Job Summary

Under minimal supervision and in accordance with established policies, procedures, state regulations, and production based quotas, establishes new payroll/group accounts using multiple core administration databases/systems; ensures that all documents meet established standards and state specific Department of Insurance (DOI) regulations for establishing new accounts

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Under minimal supervision and in accordance with established policies, procedures, state regulations, and production based quotas, establishes new payroll/group accounts using multiple core administration databases/systems; ensures that all documents meet established standards and state specific Department of Insurance (DOI) regulations for establishing new accounts

 

Ensures that various elements of new account setup are processed as requested, including but not limited to billing requirements, Section 125 regulations, and Standard Industry Codes; researches issues pertaining to new account setup and recommends solutions; ensures all required information is received and correct prior to plan effective date and follows-up with account point of contact (POC) and sales associate as required; assigns Standard Industry Codes (SIC) as needed and requests additional information or company profiles to assist with the determination of the SIC

 

Refers or consults with Lead and/or Supervisor regarding more complex or unusual issues; interacts with other business units and field associates as necessary to resolve issues and inquiries and to maintain efficient data and information flow

 

Participates in resource-sharing activities as required; assists with New Business production as needed in high volume times; keys pertinent data into the system and verifies the accuracy and completeness of data entered

 

Performs other related duties as required
