Manager, Payment Card Campaign


PenFed is hiring a Manager, Payment Card Campaign in our Omaha Service Center in Omaha, NE. The primary purpose of this job is to be responsible for developing and implementing credit and debit card campaigns for our existing members. This position must be able to manage multiple deadlines for all elements of marketing campaigns and excel in working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment with minimal oversight.  In addition, the Manager of Payment Card Campaign will actively participate in the development of the annual business objectives, planning and budgets.

  • Work with the Senior Manager to develop tactical campaign plans that support annual business objectives for existing credit and debit card members.
  • Plan all credit and debit card engagement campaign initiatives from conception to execution; including but not limited to identify campaign objective, segmentation and targeting, key messages and promotional offers.
  • Responsible for end-to-end implementation of campaigns:  kick-off campaigns with internal partners, coordinate milestone dates, manage timelines, work with cross-functional teams to implement campaigns, and track results.
  • Track campaign success through data analysis, evaluate opportunities for improvement, and make recommendations for future campaigns.
  • Optimize card member contact management strategy to ensure touchpoints are relevant and align with business objectives.
  • Ongoing review of processes and procedures, identify workflow improvements and efficiencies to improve speed to market.
  • Assist in roll-out and ongoing support of campaign management platform.
  • Participate in new and ongoing credit and debit card projects as needed.
  • Manage campaign expenses and evaluate opportunities for savings.
  • Manage monthly and annual campaign and project calendar.
  • Organize payment team documentation and procedures in digital library for audits and archive.  


Education and Experience

Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or related field is required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ of campaign management and marketing operations experience in the credit and debit card industry; including but not limited to campaign development, campaign coordination, test and learn methodology, member centric insights, competitive intelligence, and campaign performance analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter that can work with minimal oversight.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized with high-degree of accuracy.
  • Previous credit and debit card product and marketing experience.
  • Familiar with credit and debit card processing and procedures.
  • Excel at working in a cross-functional team, with an inclination to take initiative.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customers.


Supervisory Responsibility

This position will not supervise employees.


Licenses and Certifications

There are no additional licenses and/or certifications required.


Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.

*Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.*



Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call is required.
