.NET Developer

Job Description

The .NET Developer provides technical expertise and is responsible for the analysis, design and development of NP DODGE’s web and mobile applications ensuring the security, integrity, and availability of web and mobile applications.  This role works closely with all internal departments to define requirements and provide solutions to complex problems. This position does have an option to work remotely. 


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze technical requirements and design new components, data integration, web and mobile applications, and controls to meet functional, performance, and availability requirements
  • Design .NET applications and familiar with REST APIs XML/JSON, and internal web development and tools.
  • Design and develop using Object Oriented design principles and software design patterns to attain high reusability and maintainability
  • Work with databases and different types of reporting, visualization, or analytic software.
  • Maintain and contribute to corporate platform as necessary
  • Develop database SQL scripts, stored procedures that meet corporate database standards to implement requirements
  • Facilitate discussions among other .NET and database developers to exchange new ideas and improvements.
  • Apply industry best practices in Application security to ensure security, consistency, and sustainability for business system applications.


Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s in information technology or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain team practices such as automated unit testing, code reviews, and coding standards
  • 2-5 years overall technical experience
  • Knowledgeable in .NET
  • Responsive Web Design
  • Knowledgeable in Object-Oriented Programming and design patterns
  • Familiarity with C#, .NET platform, ASP.NET, JSON, JavaScript and/or jQuery, HTML/CSS
  • Experience in development of Web API
  • Demonstrated experience with ADO.NET, SQL, TSQL and stored procedure development
  • Knowledge of application vulnerability scanning
  • Experience working with TFS supporting Agile practices and continuous integration
