The Diabetes Education & Nutrition Services team at OneWorld is an integral part of our medical clinic.  We are looking for a Diabetes Educator (BSN, RN, or RD) who is patient-centered and works well in a team environment.  Our Diabetes Educators teach classes and counsel patients one-on-one in order to educate them on the effects of diabetes, how to manage medication, the importance of diet and exercise, social and cultural influences, and coping skills.  They provide case management and follow-up for our diabetic patients, and they work closely with medical providers to ensure the best possible outcomes.


  • Licensed by the State of Nebraska as a Registered Nurse required, OR Registered Dietitian certification through the Commission of Dietetic Registration required.
  • Certification in diabetes education preferred.  If not currently certified, must be willing to work towards certification as a Diabetes Educator.
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish (written and oral) required.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) required; prior experience with an Electronic Health Record preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working as a Registered Nurse or Registered Dietitian preferred.
  • Expertise in diabetes, weight reduction, nutrition, cholesterol management, stress management, and/or hypertension management preferred.
  • BLS certification required for Registered Nurses; BLS certification preferred for Registered Dietitians.
