About Us:
The Stephen Center is a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to providing shelter services, support programs, and permanent housing solutions for individuals experiencing homelessness in Omaha, NE. Our mission includes offering the HERO addiction recovery program and supportive housing units. We are looking for a skilled and motivated Development Operations Coordinator to join our team and enhance our development and fundraising efforts.
Position Overview:
The Development Operations Coordinator will be responsible for managing our donor database and coordinating fundraising appeals. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, this role will play a crucial part in optimizing our data management and executing successful fundraising campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
·Database Management: Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the donor database. Update donor information, track contributions, and manage data integrity.
·Data Analysis: Generate and review reports to monitor donor activity, fundraising progress, and campaign outcomes. Utilize data insights to inform and improve fundraising strategies.
·Fundraising Appeals: Plan, execute, and manage fundraising appeals, including direct mail, email campaigns, and online solicitations. Oversee content creation, scheduling, and distribution.
·Campaign Coordination: Assist the Chief Development Officer in planning and implementing fundraising campaigns and events. Contribute to the creation of campaign materials and donor communications.
·Donor Relations: Manage donor communications to ensure timely and personalized acknowledgments. Support efforts to build and maintain strong donor relationships.
·Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and best practices for donor privacy. Prepare necessary reports and documentation for audits and evaluations.
·Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the Development team, including data entry, tracking results, and managing correspondence.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
·Education: Bachelor’s degree in Non-profit Management, Marketing, Data Science, or a related field preferred. Candidates with an associate’s degree or relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
·Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in database management and/or fundraising coordination. Experience in a non-profit environment is highly desirable.
·Skills: Proficiency with donor management software, particularly Bloomerang, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical abilities with experience in generating and interpreting reports.
·Organization: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
·Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience in developing engaging fundraising materials and donor communications.
·Creativity: Innovative approach to creating and implementing fundraising strategies and appeals. Ability to effectively engage donors through creative campaigns.

Compensation:
This is an hourly position. The rate of pay will be commensurate with experience.
