POSITION SUMMARY:

The Mobile Health Supervisor is responsible for facilitating the overall mobile health services offered at CDHC. The Supervisor works closely with other service line leaders to ensure operational support for clinical services provided. The Supervisor helps assure that the delivery of high quality, culturally sensitive services that comply with all federal, state and local agency policies and procedures as well as those at Charles Drew Health Center. The Supervisor works closely with providers aimed at serving individuals who are experiencing homelessness, reside in public housing or school aged children.

POSITION-SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Completes specific duties as assigned to Mobile Health Supervisor
  • Works closely with services line leaders in coordinating the schedules for all mobile health units and schedule proper driver coverage
  • Responsible for staff life cycle to include recruitment and hiring, staff onboarding and training, performance management, and disciplinary action up to and including termination of staff.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining metrics reports to measure success of the use of the mobile health services
  • Maintains, orders and keeps accurate inventories of clinic and office supplies, as needed
  • Coordinates with key leaders at partner locations on logistics and patient recruitment
  • Assists with patient registration, scheduling, filing, billing, problem resolution, and other administrative support duties, as needed.
  • Ensure cleanliness of mobile health units and communicates repair and maintenance needs to the Operation Manager
  • Other duties as assigned        

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: High School Diploma; GED equivalent with aptitude in math, office/ clerical skills and computer applications
  • Experience: 1 or more years’ in computer, math, clerical/business with customer service emphasis in ambulatory health care setting required, 2 or more years of work experience with listed expertise in a health care setting preferred
  • Experience: 1-2 years supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including Electronic Health Record, Practice Management, and Microsoft office and knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Language: English fluency
  • Work Hours: Varying weekday clinic hours
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport with people of diverse populations and backgrounds
  • Travel: Local travel required.
  • Exposure: The exposure characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.  For example, while performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is rarely exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.  Additionally, the employee may occasionally be exposed to blood borne and other hazardous chemicals. Finally, the noise level in the work environment is rarely loud. In all cases personal protective equipment will be provided to the employee in combination with adequate ventilation and other engineering controls to minimize the risk of exposure or other hazardous occurrence.
