SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The Homeless Outreach Intern is responsible for providing screening and support services to individuals experiencing homelessness, including those who or living on the streets or in other places not meant for human habitation..
Responsible for providing screening and referral services to assigned cases, including referring clients to HFS programs or other referrals needed to assist in obtaining permanent housing. This position would participate in weekly street outreach, and assist outreach staff in providing needed support services to individuals living on the streets.
Entry level professional position. Educational requirements are specific. Decision making skills and problem solving skills are required.
