A 114-year-old steel foundry company is looking to hire a production helper with pouring and shakeout in Wahoo, NE! We provide steel castings to many of the largest heavy construction manufacturers; along with being a key supplier to the water, natural gas, and oil valve industries, transportation market, and many other sectors. We are seeking shakeout helpers on 1st and 3rd Shift!

Production Shakeout Helper Duties:
• Ability to properly prepare molds prior to pouring of heat
• Ability to properly prepare molds for shakeout process
• Ability to take and pour test samples from the ladle stream
• Must follow LOTO procedures to carry out routine and general cleanup of the machine
• Capable of assisting with all aspects of the pouring of a heat
• Capable of segregating castings by part # as they are removed from shakeout
• Possesses the knowledge to operate equipment properly

Production Shakeout Helper Qualifications& Requirements
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, multiplication)
• Must have the ability to repetitively lift up to 100 lbs. (seek assistance when lifting over 50 lbs)
• Work in or near extremes in temperatures and dusty environment
• Work in proximity of molten metal and sparks for duration of shift
• Able to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks in an unsupervised manner
• High school diploma or its equivalent
• Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English
• Must have reliable attendance, willing to work flexible hours, & work well with others
