Growing logistics firm needs a Logistics Sales rep to help grow their business even more. Prefer a non pushy sales rep who would be willing to learn about logistics with strong communication skills. Base pay plus commission for this opportunity. Very little travel required.
Summary of Position:
Logistics Sales Representative will develop and maintain client relationships by developing effective ways to transport customers’ freight utilizing this client’s services. This role serves in a sales capacity and communicates with both customer and carrier contacts. Responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships, assessing client specific needs, promoting and selling services, and maintaining sales goals and objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients
Cultivate new sales leads to establish business
Sell and negotiate services
Responsible for securing and maintaining new business
Provide quotes for current and prospective clients
Ability to make phone calls
Perform analytical and logistics planning
Proactively identify problems and implement effective solutions
Provide follow-up customer satisfaction with clients as needed
Achieve individual, team, and company goals
Work closely with Logistics Managers to ensure customer freight is being moved efficiently
Skills & Requirements:
Ability to work both independently and within a team
Extremely organized and detail oriented
Must possess a strong work ethic
