Job Description

A highly specialized automation and design firm in the Omaha area is in need of Machine Programmer / Designer! In this position you will work with and on automated industrial machinery for manufacturing and production companies. PLC and automation experience is a must as well as some AutoCAD background.
 
Machine Programmer/Designer Job Duties and  Skills:
  • Ability to quickly understand complex applications
  • Analyze written specifications, drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions to plan, layout, and develop the software
  • Confer with engineers, technicians, or others to resolve logic problems
  • Communicate with co-workers and supervisor to receive instructions and coordinate activities
  • Familiarity with Rockwell Automation hardware and software products(PLCs, HMIs, motion control, VFDs, industrial sensors, etc.)
  • PC programming software such as Visual Basic, .Microsoft.Net, etc. will be useful
  • Understanding of commonly used industrial communications hardware including Ethernet IP, Devicenet, RS-232, etc.
  • Experience commissioning and troubleshooting automation systems
  • Design & develop electrical control systems for automated industrial machinery
  • Design & develop industrial safety applications to meet contemporary standards
  • Design & document machine electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic schematics, panel layouts,and  panel assemblies
  • Bill of Materials with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
  • Responsible for integration of HMI, servos, robots, vision, pneumatics, etc
  • Must be knowledgeable regarding shop and equipment safety, as time will be spent on the shop floor
