Do you have experience with OSHA Lock Out /Tag Out?
 
In this Service Technician position you will be responsible for the completion of service work, sterilizer maintenance, and supervision of installation for equipment in accordance with established procedures and techniques. Also, identifying prospective contract customers and communicating the benefits of regularly scheduled preventive maintenance to help sell our services. Below are additional daily duties, skills, knowledge, and physical requirements for this position.
 
Service Technician Daily Duties:
  • Provide supervision of installation and service at customer location
  • Determine appropriate action to meet Customer Service needs.
  • Perform service which is accurate, thorough, and timely
  • Administer Manufacturer’s Equipment Warranty (MEW)
  • Perform routine scheduled preventive maintenance per service contract agreements
  • Respond in a timely manner to customer needs in troubleshooting and repair of equipment
  • Meet or exceed service sales objectives for products (contracts, parts, billable labor, and kits)
  • Maintain personal competence for meeting job responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit on schedule all service call reports
  • Properly maintain all assigned material to preserve its value
  • Recommend suggestions to improve product, sales growth, and reduce cost
  • Establish and maintain excellent relations with customers and other personnel
  • Maintain ethical conduct, personal integrity, and appropriate appearance
  • Comply with governmental health and safety regulations
 
Service Technician Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Excellent understanding of the tools and processes used in the service of steam sterilizers
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA Lock Out -Tag Out procedures
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Math skills commensurate with essential job functions
  • Demonstrate good analytical skills in the application of problem solving
  • Able to work as a team and effectively interact with customers
  • Understanding of basic production principles and assembly practices
  • Able to accomplish all tasks required in a timely manner with little or no supervision
  • Understand and implement companies policies and procedures
  • Ability to travel for extended periods
 
Service Technician Education & Experience:
  • Associate’s degree and/or 1-2 years’ work experience
Service Technician Physical Abilities:
  •  Ability to lift 50pounds on a frequent basis throughout the day
  •  Valid state driver’s license to support field visits
  •  Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing
