Job Description

A Lincoln based company is searching for a technologically savvy person with experience in Point of Sale maintenance and repair. The Computer Repair Technician will be responsible for maintaining in-store POS equipment and keeping it all in good working order. The POS Technician will also assist store associates with day-to-day operational procedures.
 
Computer Repair Technician Responsibilities:
  • Follow the directives of the POS/Store Systems Manager and upper management
  • Assist store associates with proper procedures on POS software and hardware
  • Repair and maintain POS terminals, scanner/scales, printers, drawers, monitors, keyboards, and computers
  • Install, maintain and troubleshoot appropriate software
  • Assist with set up and installation of new equipment 
  • Basic troubleshooting of BRData remote devices
  • Work with Credit Card authorization and balancing software and related problems
  • Provide assistance and knowledge to all in-store Department associates (i.e.Pharmacy, Floral, etc.) 
  • Enforce and abide by Company procedures and policies
  • Follow Company Safety Standards
 
Computer Repair Technician Knowledge & Skills:
  • Extended computer knowledge in respect to replacing, configuring, and setting up new hardware and software 
  • Ability to correct computer problems in and out of the stores
  • Possess a strong level of knowledge on the POS hardware (including all peripherals)and any Grocery Industry software that drives the in-store terminals
  • Knowledge on Electronic troubleshooting, down to the Board-level;
  • Repair of the terminals, computers, and peripherals, down to the Component-level
  • Clean driving record: travel required to stores in Nebraska and Council Bluffs, IA, etc

Proper Use & Maintenance of Machinery/Equipment of:
  • Computers
  • Software
  • Computer-repair tools
  • Electronic equipment
  • Vehicle used to transport equipment.
Point of Sales Technician Schedule:
  • Full Time
  • Variable schedule
  • Includes on-call hours
