Job Description

The largest U.S. based independent manufacturer of composites such as wind blades; is looking for a Process Engineer to join their team. They allow leading industry wind- turbine manufacturers to outsource their needs through a global footprint of advanced manufacturing. In the Process Engineer position you will implement optimal cost effective methods to meet quality standards for the manufacturing team, as well as, recommend improvements for the production processes.
 
Process Engineer Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of processes and related equipment                          
  • Evaluate composite and infusion related materials
  • Justify and implement selected materials costs to improve overall composite manufacturing processes
  • Develop tooling and equipment as well as detailed layouts of manufacturing processes for new/revised products
  • Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products
  • Determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of machinery according to quality standards
  • Represent manufacturing/engineering on cross-functional teams
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
 
Process Engineer Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering/ Engineering Technology                    
  • Minimum 3-5 years related experience required (wind blade composite or other composite experience preferred)
  • Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques
  • Experience with AutoCAD, ProE, Virtual Gibbs or similar programs
  • Quality orientation and high attention to detail
  • Ability to work with vendors, customers and employees
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain safe work environment
  • Ability to perform problem analysis and problem resolution
