Sales support specialist job duties:
-Work with insurance agents/brokers, policyholders and personnel via phone and email to help recommend appropriate plan design based on customer needs
-Learn and understand Group Dental & Vision Products to plan design elements and rating components of plan elements -Sales Reps may have questions about the rules and regulations for this product. You must have the ability to understand the product and to know how to respond to the sales reps.
-Submit new cases by completing field underwriting and correct paperwork
-Daily use of multiple software programs to help generate insurance plans
-Assist with plan renewals
-Gain a comprehensive understanding of all group insurance products and working knowledge of how products are priced
Sales support specialist job requirements:
-Excellent phone skills are required and this position requires a great deal of salesmanship and providing support to the Field Offices
-Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel to format cells, manipulate data, work with formulas and decipher information in spreadsheets
- Willingness to learn and to take on new challenges - Considers complex, challenging cases as an opportunity to learn and to grow.
-Knowledge in Group Insurance is helpful
-You will be trained on multiple product lines and will be asked to keep up with day to day changes on this team
