We’re looking for a talented Senior QA Automation Tester to join our client in Omaha, NE. As a Senior QA Automation Tester, your mission will be to develop, support, and deliver automated testing strategies and solutions for large-scale applications. This collaborative role will have you working with both business and technical staff to gather /analyze data, requirements, and test cases. You will also be providing framework / test case documentation and training your team. Qualifications for Senior QA Automation Tester:
- Associate’s or an equivalent combination of education and/or directly related work experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
-Software quality assurance certification from an industry recognized organization such as the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB®) or QAI Global Institute preferred.
-Four years of direct experience as a tester for an application integration and/or application product release required.
-Intermediate understanding and application of Quality Assurance best practices and methodologies.
-Intermediate experience in writing test plans and test cases.
-Intermediate knowledge, understanding and experience working with written requirements, including use cases and supplementary specifications.
-Ability to effectively collaborate with a geographically dispersed team in a cross-functional environment.
-Ability to work effectively in a fast- paced, dynamic environment and prioritize workload and deliverables within schedule constraints to deliver results. 
-Intermediate understanding and experience with a variety of test tools and methods to improve process efficiency and effectiveness.
-Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, principles, products, technical and business knowledge with limited supervision.
-Willing to share knowledge and experiences to facilitate continuous improvement.
-Good initiative and organization skills.
-Good customer service and interpersonal skills.
-Good communication skills. Ability to write and speak clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles.
-Keen attention to detail.
-Intermediate knowledge with test management or application life cycle management tools to conduct test planning, execution, reporting and defect tracking preferred.
-Experience with relational databases and developing and executing low to moderately complex SQL statements for testing validation.
-Proven application testing experience that includes testing of large, complex, enterprise-wide applications on a variety of platforms, including experience with Java development environments.
-Understands software development processes, requirements engineering, architectures and quality assurance.
-Application development and business analysis background and experience.
-Applies Quality Assurance techniques and best practices in evaluating and critiquing business processes, as well as technical and functional documentation.
-Has the ability to envision implementations from a user/business perspective and has sufficient technology acumen to assist in the development processes.
-Proficient in understanding written requirements, including use cases, supplementary specifications and requirements traceability.
-Proficient in writing test plans, test cases, user guides and use cases for the intended audience(s).
-Experience with HP Quality Center / ALM to conduct test planning, execution, and reporting.
-Experience with issue/defect tracking and change management tools, such as JIRA, HP Application Life Cycle Management a plus.
-Proficient in gathering and preparing data and files for testing.
-Experience with change management, release packaging and deployment concepts.
-Practical experience reviewing and researching log files to troubleshoot issues.
-Experience with test automation concepts and tools, including automation scripting languages/tools.
-Has tool experience relevant to requirements engineering, continuous integration, Agile team support and testing frameworks, e.g., JIRA, Selenium, Confluence, Arts , Jenkins etc.
-Advanced experience in developing and executing SQL statements for testing and validation.
-Excellent testing and troubleshooting skills and ability to work with department staff to resolve technical issues.
-Has experience with Microsoft Office platform and applications – Windows 7, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and Adobe, Project.
-Experience within payment card industry and technologies are preferred.
-Experience with kiosk or point of sale device testing preferred.
