If you are looking for a place where you can make a difference in the life of a child, Project Harmony is looking for you.  We are seeking an experienced and committed Application Systems Administrator to join our dynamic and innovative organization.

The Application Systems Administrator will perform application systems administration duties for vendor supplied agency applications used at Project Harmony. He/she will be tasked with building sound relationships with key stakeholders, understanding challenges/needs and collaboratively designing, recommending, gaining buy-in and implementing changes that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the technology solution.  This person must demonstrate expertise with configuring operational workflow, customer management and reporting applications with ETO (Efforts to Outcomes), Raiser’s Edge NXT and Business Objects serving as preferred examples of expertise desired.    

The Application Systems Administrator will work closely with varying internal and external stakeholders to ensure supported systems are working to maximize agency efficiency/impact and adhere to best practices of the technology systems administered. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with program managers to understand their service objectives, identify options, recommendations and solutions to meet these objectives.
  • Establish and maintain alignment of application administration with the needs of the Data and Quality team.
  • Develop and create customized reports and dashboards, as defined by the Data and Quality team.
  • Develop and maintain training materials for supported applications and train application users to be able to confidently and effectively use the system.
  • Proactively resolve and/or escalate project issues.
  • Identify any individual or organizational knowledge gaps pertaining to supported systems.
  • Participate in software product user group opportunities as appropriate and within budget allocation.
  • Identify options to have administration health checks performed on supported applications to ensure optimal configuration, taking into account both application and industry best practices.
  • Maintain system metrics to help quantify effectiveness of an application in meeting program needs.
  • Keep current with vendor offered training opportunities.
  • Participate in designated program and agency-related meetings on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis.
  • Comply with all organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.

Education and Training:                                                                                      

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or a related field.
  • Minimum of one to three years of experience working in field related to business systems management.  Relation to public services field(s) preferred. 

Work Experience:

  • Experience with administration of case and client management software, with ETO (Efforts to Outcomes) and Raiser’s Edge NXT software preferred.
  • Experience with building reports using industry standard tools, with Business Objects preferred.
  • Experience with application administration of content management software, such as Sharepoint, could be considered an additional benefit.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong analytical, process design, problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Demonstrated experience configuring and refining vendor software packages.
  • Exudes positive energy, be collaborative, capable of thinking independently and a critical thinker.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently as well as part of a cohesive team.
  • Must possess the ability to listen to ideas and accept feedback from others.
  • Must be comfortable providing and receiving constructive feedback in a professional manner.
  • Awareness when proposed needs create a negative down-stream impact and the ability to communicate effectively to prevent these changes from being made.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong presentation, technical writing, and communication skills (written, verbal and listening).
  • Strong knowledge and use of all Microsoft Office Products as well as other software, hardware, databases, etc.
  • Team and solution oriented.
  • High level of initiative and positive energy.
  • Must respect and maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be open to additional responsibilities as needed as part of being part of a smaller IT team.


  • Must have a passion for the mission of Project Harmony and be fully committed to serving it to the highest degree.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours.
  • Must submit to a thorough criminal history background check.
  • Must have access to a vehicle, possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
  • Position may involve some travel, primarily within the state.
