About this position:
As a Direct Support Supervisor at Mosaic, you'll have the opportunity to directly impact the lives of people with disabilities and the people who support them in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In this position you will coordinate scheduling of 10-12 employees, activities and operations of group home with 4-6 persons living in each home. Working with regulatory agencies such as Department of Inspections and Appeals, Fire Marshall and internal quality assurance you will develop compliance practices to deliver high quality services deserving of each individual who chooses Mosaic's services.
As a leader, you will coach, develop and train all new and current employees to grow in building relationships with each person, family member, guardian and peer they reach each and every day. As a good financial steward of resources this position will monitor household budgets, order household and person supplies, account for spending and receipts for all individual and household purchases.
This position requires effective communication with several stakeholders within and outside of working hours, navigating systems, technology and practices to build capacity and creating a culture of endless opportunity for each person receiving Mosaic services.
* Associates Degree in a related field OR high school diploma and 3 years of experience in field of human services. * Minimum 6 months of supervisory experience with a preference of 1 year. * Position will require certification in CPR and medication administration. * Work requires frequent physical activity including extended periods of standing, walking, and bending with occasional periods of sitting, kneeling, climbing, stooping, crouching, squatting and balancing. * Work also requires constant reaching between knee and shoulder level as well as frequent reaching below knee level and overhead. * Work requires occasional independent lifting up to 25 pounds, frequent push/pull up to 40 pounds of force and the ability to safely transfer 50 pounds.
