About the Position:Â
We are hiring for an Information Security Analyst to join our Information Technology team. This role is highly influential in maintaining a safe and secure data environment for our workforce and for the people we support. This role will have the opportunity to collaborate with partners internally and externally on several project based initiatives related to training / education on security campaigns, HIPAA compliance, Remote Worker programs, and will play an instrumental role in the continuous improvement and evaluationÂ of current policies and procedures as it relates to cyber security within the organization. In addition, the position will be responsible to plan and carry out security measures to protect Mosaic's computer networks and systems. Understand advanced cyber threats and help stakeholders build appropriate mitigation plans and strategies to ensure the enterprise and production networks are protected. Monitor computer networks for security issues, install security software, and document security issues.
Key Functions of the Role:Â
Monitor computer networks for security issues and vulnerabilities *
Develop organization-wide best practices for IT security. Research security enhancements and make recommendations to key stakeholders *
Investigate security breaches and other cyber incidents. Document these incidents and assess the damage they cause. Develop and manage the Incident Response Plan and Playbook *
Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls, antivirus software, anti-malware software, intrusion detection and prevention software and data encryption programs *
Perform risk assessments to include: annual, significant infrastructure change, significant cybersecurity threat, new vendor/software, applicable regulation change, etc. *
Conduct monthly and quarterly security audit of: system logs, user access, antivirus, current patched systems, firewall rules, network access *
Work with the IT team to perform penetration tests to uncover and fix network vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard *
Manage the Information Security Awareness Program and train users to promote security awareness *
Stay current on IT and Cyber security trends, news, and standards. Help colleagues understand information security managementÂ
A successful Candidate will possess the following qualities:Â
Knowledge of HIPAA Security Rule *
Knowledge of CIS Controls *
Strong analytical skills *
Strong critical thinking skills *
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills *
Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities *
Knowledge of firewalls, antivirus, and IDPS concepts
Bachelor's degree in information security or related field.Â *
Five to nine years of experience in information security. *
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). *
Experience with penetration testing and techniques.Â *
Experience with firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS. *
Experience in installing security software and documenting security issues.Â *
Experience with the functions within the entire incident response life-cycle.
