SUMMARY/PRIMARY PURPOSE:  Warehouse and maintenance tasks to ensure operations of corps property and equipment.


  1. Ensure corps building is clean – restrooms cleaned, floors mopped or vacuumed, and trash removed from offices and other areas of the building.
  2. Keep parking lot and dumpster area clean. 
  3. Clean glass doors and windows
  4. Maintain adequate inventor of supplies for cleaning and maintenance work
  5. Provide routine maintenance on corps building, equipment and fixtures as needed, or refer items needing outside service to Director of Administration
  6. Keep maintenance and storage areas clean, organized and stocked
  7. In winter months, keep walk ways and entry area of corps free of ice and snow
  8. Responsible for warehouse and pantry to include stocking, and rotation of food.
  9. Provide assistance with The Salvation Army food drives, as well as seasonal programs.
  10. At all times must provide good customer service by being polite, prompt and courteous to clients/guests who may enter the building
  11. All other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, but not required.

COMPUTER/PROGRAM SKILLS:  Basic computer knowledge needed to access time clock and personal information via a web-based system.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situation to customers, clients, and other employees.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:  Must pass all applicable background checks.  English proficiency sufficient for communication with supervisors, co-workers, clients and customers.
