Position Description Overview

Working in a diverse and challenging environment, this role requires a versatile Business Analyst to become a key member of an Implementation Team, led by a Project Manager for large scale implementations.You will be responsible for participating in the planning and execution of specific projects, reviewing and fully understanding all project and business requirements, determining the appropriate solution, generating detailed system design documentation meeting the business needs of the customer/project. Participate in the generation of project deliverables such as Communication Plans, Training Plans/Documentation, Test Plan, Test Cases/Scenarios. Participate in and/or oversee Quality Assurance Testing of the application.


Job Responsibilities

  • Project Planning
  • Support Project Manager to ensure projects are delivered on-time according to client requirements, on budget, while meeting all of the customers' business requirements (in scope) as detailed in the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) and/or Statement of Work
  • Understand and help to clarify the business requirements and any date imperatives of the project
  • Produce Project documentation, Communication Plan, Issue Tracking/Mitigation, Training and other deliverables as required by project
  • Produce a Risks/Issues Log, proactively manage this activity throughout the project's lifecycle and escalate any concerns to the Sponsor, &/or your line manager
  • Understand, manage and track any changes to requirements or scope and the impact these may have on the potential solutions 
  • Project Execution
  • Generate detailed system design configuration documentation that meets client requirements, following internal standards
  •  Ensure client acceptance of these documents
  • Support Project Manager in the updating of the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) throughout the project lifecycle
  • Work closely with implementation team, shared services partners to ensure synergy resulting in a successful implementation
  • Support QA team in the development and review of test plans and test scripts
  •  Participate in and/or lead Quality Assurance testing
  • Participate in the development of the implementation plan required to successfully rollout new application(s)
  •  Provide support to Project Manager to ensure all implementation steps are followed

  • Work with Technical Operations team to ensure deployment of application is in accordance with the implementation plan.
  • Coordinate customer training. Ensure documented training plans are produced and managed to.
  • Attending requirements and design sessions and providing input on the design/configuration of application to meet customer's needs.
  • Providing input to the application development teams on design/configuration of the application in order to support business functions/requirements.
  • Reviewing designated deliverables associated with the application aspects of the Project (requirements, design, development, testing and training), and preparation of formal Deliverable Review Reports
  • Assisting customers in the review of deliverables. 
  • Project Closure
  • Ensure customers/project's objectives have been achieved
  • Generate transition documented needed for transition meeting with Operational teams
  • Manage the resolution of post-live issues arising from the development/project's implementation
  • Confirm that all outstanding risks and issues have been resolved
  • Participate in the Post Implementation Review and lessons learned

Job Requirements


  • 10 year minimum Overseeing Technical Solution Implementation
  • Experience with data analysis techniques, data modeling and data management tools required
  • Extensive Experience overseeing Technical Solution Requirement and Design
  • Strong analytical skills


  • Exposure to all System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) phases and experience contributing to or managing the following SDLC activities: Systems analysis and requirements definition Systems design (functional) Integration and functional verification Validation, installation and deployment Maintenance and operation support
  • Detailed Orientated/Quality Focused
  • Capacity to embrace change and quickly adapt to new situations, changes in direction, and altering priorities
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments
