Job Responsibilities

  • Provides supervision to technicians to ensure all assigned equipment performs at optimum service levels. Responsible for effective planning and implementation of work schedules and preventive and interim maintenance activities. Responsible for timely and effective resolution of equipment malfunctions. Leads equipment modifications where needed to handle additional client requirements. Schedules all maintenance activities: preventive maintenance, equipment modifications, installation of new equipment, and equipment relocations and rebuilds. Coordinates special projects. Provides technical support to technicians. Performs equipment maintenance as workload dictates. Must also provide supervision for a fully operational machine shop department.

Scope of Job

Must ensure cost savings initiatives are occurring to reduce the amount of liability in regards to parts costs. This is accomplished through outsourcing initiatives. Directly supervises teams of individual contributors which may include multiple locations


Requires some guidance and supervision from management. The incumbent is responsible to ensure cost savings initiatives are occurring to reduce the amount of liability we have in regards to parts costs. This is accomplished through outsourcing initiatives. Each supervisor is responsible for properly managing an inventory system between $500,000 and $1,000,000, and ensure that any discrepancies are accounted for. Accountable to drive machine modifications and ensure they are assigned to the proper individuals for completion. Applies in-depth skills and broad knowledge of the business to address moderately complex problems.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Electronics (or equivalent educational background, i.e. military technical schools). 3+ years working experience in the installation, troubleshooting and repair of electronic or electro-mechanical equipment and systems, of which 1 year must be in a lead/supervisory capacity. Strong mechanical ability required. Able to handle, operate, maintain, manipulate, and adjust, assigned equipment as necessary.
