First Data's Operations and Call Center functions are focused on providing the outstanding client service, support and experiences that are critical to our ongoing success. Our Operations owner-associates are responsible for the stability of our global network infrastructure by helping our financial institution clients with various aspects of transaction processing, including statement management, card production and ticket-issue resolution. Our Call Center owner-associates are often the first point of contact for our business clients, and they play an important role in driving client satisfaction. They are responsible for answering questions and resolving problems on a wide range of issues, including account activation inquiries, potential fraudulent activity and our full range of products and services.


Manager IT is responsible for
  • Providing leadership to team of Technical Implementation analysts.
  • Managing people, hiring, firing, performance reviews, compensation, and determining promotions.
  • Streamlining the job responsibilities of the team and process improvement.
  • Providing guidance, planning and direction for business unit(s), maintaining budgets and proactively allocating resources and time for the business units or functions supported.
  • Leading training efforts for new team members.
  • Introducing process efficiencies and training documents.
  • Assisting team members on processes pertaining to complex project implementations.
  • Advising internally/externally as debit processing subject matter expert.
  • Serving as primary technical contact for First Datas largest clients.
  • Using, configuring, and modifying third party authorization simulators.
  • Writing requirements for software development to authorization application.
  • Writing test cases for client acceptance testing across authorization application.
  • Creating detailed, client-facing test scripts for sanctioned, department-wide use.
  • Interpreting the IT strategy and aligning resources and people to meet strategy goals.
  • Leads technical implementation efforts for industry leading debit processing platform. 
  • Ensuring the execution of specific strategic functions and implementing high-end, business-wide, critical strategy such as client authorization testing, working with Network set up and Technology.
  • Configuring host to host connections for Tandem Non-Stop environments.
  • Managing technical aspects of multi-platform implementation projects.
  • Performing additional job duties as required.
 

ob Requirements

  • 4+ years of related technical and business experience. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience and/or Certifications.
  • Good working knowledge of IT functions and business units.
  • Strong knowledge of business operations, policies and practices.

Preferred

Experience with: Debit and EFT processing; CAT/UAT testing; ISO 8583 based message formats; File layouts ACH SHR/PPD, reconcilement, host master files; IBM 3270 terminal emulation, TSO, JCL; ConnectDirect/NDM (IBM host base file transmissions), MessageWay (server based file transmissions); Tandem Non-Stop, TACL-based commands; TCP/IP and networking protocols; Scripting/coding, esp. VBScript, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), and COM software components.
