Position Description Overview

This is a leadership position for an experienced and technical security professional to focus on the Endpoint Security strategies and technologies within a complex and technical environment. This candidate will be the Endpoint Security Director.

 

Job Responsibilities:

The candidate should possess a broad-based and in-depth knowledge of Endpoint Security technologies and concepts, along with complex security technologies, tools and methodologies. The candidate will lead and deliver Endpoint Security technologies and programs globally, establishing a world class global defense in depth ecosystem for protecting endpoints. The candidate must have a strong technical security background, be able to manage people internationally, communicate effectively and understand Endpoint Security methodology and how to apply in a large diverse environment. The candidate must also be capable of driving and applying these principles and expertise on a global basis.

 

Scope of Job:

Resource to focus on driving consistency for all endpoint security strategies and technologies within FDC. Critical to ensuring First Data is protected from unauthorized data exfiltration and ensuring recent $20M Symantec purchase is properly implemented, for server configuration management, unsupported legacy infrastructure protection, and advanced threat endpoint monitoring. Drive and deliver critical services to deliver asset management data within FDC Lead and drive all endpoint security technology and programs globally, establishing a world class global endpoint security posture to protect against asset misuse, compromise, advanced cyber threats, and malicious code attacks. Provide leadership to engineering efforts to the technologies that align for endpoint security Collaborate with multiple cyber, technology, compliance and business teams to drive program and mitigate threats in the endpoint environment.

Interprets the IT strategy and aligns resources and people to meet strategy goals.

 

Job Requirements

  • Candidate must be highly ethical and act honorably, honestly, responsibly, and legally

  • Candidate must have knowledge and understanding of Endpoint Security technologies and methodologies
  • Candidate will need to provide leadership and guidance on how to design, implement, maintain, and deliver Endpoint Security services for a diverse global environment
  • Candidate must have a proven track record in implementing endpoint security and host protection technologies and methodology
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting information to groups
  • Candidate must have strong analytical, technical, and problem solving skills
  • Candidate must be able to manage time and priorities with multiple tasks and projects
  • Candidate must possess previous management experience and leadership skills, including independent decision-making abilities
  • Candidate must be able to influence others in a positive, goal-directed manner
  • Antivirus Technologies: Symantec Endpoint Protection Tanium Nessus and other similar host scanning technology Configuration Management security technology Mobile Security concepts and technology Host IDS an IPS
  • Requires 6+ years of related technical and business experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience and/or Certifications. CISSP or specialized GIAC certification is preferred.
  • Windows and UNIX/Linux/AIX/Mainframe Desktop environments Windows/VDI/MAC Defense in depth strategies and how global security infrastructures and services are deployed.
  • Network security fundamentals. Knowledge of network protocols, data flows, and vulnerabilities within a TCP/IP environment.
  • Knowledge of Endpoint Security and vulnerability Management programs and concepts
  • Knowledge of Data Centric Security Models and Methodology
  • A solid understanding of Endpoint Security technologies with actual experience in Malicious Code remediation, program management and methodology
  • Fundamental knowledge of firewalls, networks, operating systems, databases, and storage preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of defense in depth, layered network and data security architectures
  • Knowledge and understanding of core endpoint security methodologies
