Position Description Overview

Experience with directing a team in Software Development  & Product Lifecycyle automating and orchestrating processes, as well as using tools such as Splunk, Tableau, Moogsoft, AppDynamics, Salt, Chef, or Puppet .

Data Analysis, System Performance Tools, & Dashboard Engineering .


Job Responsibilities

  • Is responsible for managing people, hiring, firing, performance reviews and compensation. 
  • Provides guidance, planning and direction for functional units supported. Proactively allocates resources and maintains and controls expenses.
  • Recommends strategy for functional and business units supported and ensures the implementation of high-end, business-wide, critical strategy set by senior management. 
  • Performs additional job duties as required.
Candidate requirements 
  •   Strong communication and collaborative skills. 
  •   Technical propensity to thrive in a cutting edge technology environment 
  •   Experience working with large, fast paced environments is a plus  
  •   Experience with high transaction rate processing 
  •   Experience in Design and engineering 
  •   Strong performance and tuning experience 
  •   Experience with security best practices  
  •   Strong collaboration skills and can communicate all aspects of the job requirements including the creation of formal documentation  
  •   3 to 5+ years technical engineering experience  
  •   5+ years in senior leadership support role preferred. 
  •  Bachelor's degree or technical degree or equivalent work experience


Scope of Job

Manages two or more diverse functional units. Is the leader for assigned resources. Coaches direct reports and subordinates within the functional units supported.


Autonomy

Allocates resources to support IT strategy.  

Requires minimal direction from manager on hiring, firing, performance reviews and compensation administration.  

Resolves routine issues. 

Escalates serious issues to more senior management.


 

Job Requirements

  • Requires 6+ years of related technical and business experience. 
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience and/or Certifications. 
  • Recommends IT strategy to support goals of the business units supported.

Qualifications: 

  • Experience with directing a team in Software Development  & Product Lifecycyle automating and orchestrating processes, as well as using tools such as Splunk, Tableau, Moogsoft, AppDynamics, Salt, Chef, or Puppet .
  • Data Analysis, System Performance Tools, & Dashboard Engineering . 
  • Knowledge of Application System Architecture, networking protocols, systems monitoring tools. 
  • Competent in shell and Python scripting or XML scripting.  
  • Process oriented person with good communication and documentation skills 
  • Leads complex automation and dashboard initiatives across the technology teams
