Position Description Overview

Reporting to Vice President of Employee Benefits, has overall management responsibility for daily administration, funding, communication and compliance of the companys defined contribution plan. Will partner with vendors, HR Business Partners, Payroll, Treasury as well as other internal and external stakeholders across the company to ensure the delivery of services for each plan.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple vendor relationships ensuring the terms and conditions of the contracts are met. 
  • Manage and control accurate Plan data within systems of record, vendor interfaces and data transmissions. Management of all funding on a consistent and timely basis. 
  • Problem resolution of identified issues in a timely manner to insure all benefits are administered accurately; liaison between the Service Center, vendors, payroll, operations, legal and other departments to resolve issues. 
  • Ensures compliance with provisions under ERISA, IRS, DOL, and other statutory legislation; managed preparation of reports and applications required by law to be filed with all government & regulatory agencies. 
  • Direct the activities associated with the maintenance of benefit related compliance and document reporting and filing for all plans and trusts. 
  • Develop partnerships with departments and agencies. 
  • Lead coordination of Plan audits. Draft and review all Plan required communications and required plan notifications to participants. Ensures all terms and conditions of the vendor contracts are met. 
  • Manage and track all plan expenses for management reporting. 
  • Supports acquisition and divestiture work, including working on due diligence prior to acquisition/divestiture and integration steps to complete the acquisition/divestiture.

Scope of Job

Manages all aspects of the First Data Defined Benefits and/or Defined Contribtuion plans, including administration, funding, communications and compilance.


Fully autonomous in the management of daily operations of the plans with input from Director and VP.


Job Requirements

  • 4 - 5+ years of experience in 401(k) administration, plan design, legislation and compliance requirements U.S. and international defined benefit and defined contribution experience preferred
