Position Description Overview
Be a collaborative member of a geographically dispersed, application focused, technical team who supports distributed application tools and their infrastructure. The owner-associate will participate in the team to provide preventative and automated interfaces, system and application dashboards, establish efficiency improvements, best practices, and standards for our merchant applications in distributed application environments. Team Members will communicate regularly and work across multiple First Data technology and client teams to deliver common solutions in a broad technology base. Team Members will be responsible and accountable to design and implement these solutions to enhance efficiencies of application availability and manageability.
Scope of Job
Leads complex projects and issues within functional technical area and cross functional area. Coaches and leads less experienced IT staff. Provides leadership on projects.
Works independently with IT functional units and business units. Recommends strategies for technical aspects of projects as well as broad system improvements.
· Participate in assigned project meetings with stakeholders, demo solutions, and provide timely updates / lessons learned to Team Members
· Plan, Design, Build, and Implement system utilities, tools, dashboards, automation framework to provide preventative and proactive health improved efficiencies, improved accuracy.
· Process and Detail oriented person with excellent communication, collaboration, documentation, time management, and timely task completion skills
· 6 to 8+ years total engineering and administration experience.
· 5+ years of experience managing and monitoring mission-critical online services, processes and functionality
· Hands on experience with Scripting (python), Splunk, AppDynamics; awareness with performance troubleshooting, project tracking/source tools (i.e. Jira/Git )
Bachelor's degree or technical degree or equivalent work experience
