TITLE: Application Analyst
LOCATION: Atlanta, Georgia
DUTIES: Analyze business requirements and create design documents for application enhancements. Perform end-to-end application design and software development using C, TAL, COBOL and TACL. Consult with project teams and functional units on the design of important projects or services. Perform unit testing using automated tools. Support existing business systems applications. Assist in enhancing automated testing tools using LUA, GIT Repository Management and C#. Responsible for analyzing database performance and enhancements using SPLUNK and SQLCI for querying. Work on moderate to complex projects and issues within functional area. Support business systems applications by using Inspect and Visual Inspect to debug the Tandem programs. Perform process configurations using PATHCOM and BATCHCOM utilities. Evaluate application performance issues which include card declines, authorization downgrades, customer chargebacks in order to develop solutions. Coach and lead less experienced IT staff and business managers. Test software within the Payment Industry. Implement Tandem based software into production systems. Use IBM Rational Quality Manager to collaborate requirements, test cases and defects. Work more independently with IT functional units and business units. Recommend strategies for improving system applications.
REQTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, MIS, Engineering (any), or a related field plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the position offered, as a Software Engineering Team Lead, Software Engineering Senior System Engineer, or a related position. Must have five (5) years of progressively responsible experience with: Software development using C, TAL, TACL and COBOL languages; Using SPLUNK and SQLCI tools for querying; Using LUA, GIT Repository Management and C#; Using Inspect and Visual Inspect to debug the Tandem programs; Performing processes configurations using PATHCOM and BATCHCOM utilities; Using IBM Rational Quality Manager; Testing software within the Payment Industry; and Implementing Tandem based software into production systems.
