We have an immediate opening for a Senior Marketing Data Analyst who will be responsible for programming, testing, designing, creating and maintaining business reports, and other business applications used by Marketing, business managers, and other business partners (internal and external). This individual will design, maintain, and document computer programs for analysis and other internal operations as well as scrutinize data for integrity and reasonability.


Major Duties:                                                                          

  • Programming, testing, designing, creating and maintaining reports, and other business applications used by Marketing, Business Managers, and other business partners (internal and external).
  • Designs, creates, maintains, and documents computer programs for analysis and other internal operations. Compilations require manipulating data acquired from Company data warehouse, mainframe databases, and other internal data sources.
  • Creates, modifies, distributes, and trouble shoots regularly published reports used by business unit managers and senior management.
  • Participates in the methods and procedures to verify data accuracy.
  • Designs or assists with designing business development reports, marketing analytical tools and other agency or company management reports.
  • Works with users to develop adhoc reports, write queries on the data, etc. so that business unit personnel may use the data for business analysis purposes.
  • Regularly reviews the data for integrity and determines if better ways can be found.
  • Designs, creates, and maintains data and reports for our Customer Resource Management tool.Consults with management on needed changes.Trains others on how to access reports.
  • Creates written documentation and procedures for reports and testing.
  • May train others to write simple queries and pull data in accordance with our guidelines.
  • May travel to seminars and training sessions as needed throughout the year for continued development of skills and awareness of best practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge:

*Bachelor degree in data analytics, computer science, mathematics or related field or equivalent experience

*Computer programming

*Knowledge of relational databases

*SQL experience

*3-5 years related work experience

Preferred Knowledge:

Computer programming such as .NET, Python and R

Advanced Excel skills

Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc. a plus

Insurance industry and marketing techniques

Principles of finance, business, statistics, and insurance
