Basic Function:

Responsible for the oversight, management and financials of assigned region. Accountable for strong business development effort to gain market share in region. Responsible for successful implementation of Deposit and Loan growth strategy, along with providing overall strategic direction for credit administration functions within the assigned geography.

Directs, oversees, and implements the strategy of the regions banking branches to ensure the Bank's products and services are delivered in a prompt, accurate and dependable manner.
Appropriately manage credit quality and risk to ensure in line with overall bank risk appetite and credit culture.
Partner with all business lines and functions to ensure overall company strategy is being followed.
Manages the performance of the Regions Management team, conducting performance feedback, coaching and mentoring to achieve the Bank's business goals and ensure distribution of information is being delivered to appropriate levels.
Serve on various bank wide committees as assigned.
Provide required reporting in a timely manner as requested. This would include detailed performance metrics and credit quality.
Development and strengthening of talent and succession planning along with external recruitment success.
Conducts market visits to provide guidance on improving the operational, service, and sales performance of the banking branches.
Manages the regions staffing levels through the use of quantifiable models and methods. Works closely with People & Culture to insure adequate and appropriate staffing.
Actively participate in community organizations and activities to project and sustain a favorable Bank image in the community.
Respond to and resolve customer service requests according to Great Western policies in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner at all times.

Qualifications / Experience:

Bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, or related area required.
Minimum of 10 years of proven direct sales and / or bank management experience in banking or financial services institution, with experience in managing multiple locations and multiple reporting structures.
Must understand and possess extensive knowledge of methods and practices of bank regulations and operating procedures.
Knowledge of all bank products and services including mortgage, cash management, wealth management, commercial and retail as well as interest rate risk management products
Ability to build strong working relationships within the organization and develop professional relationships with customers and business associations.
Good understanding of bank and office operations with a strong aptitude in computer applications.
Effectively utilize and manage time to accomplish goals and objectives on a consistent basis.
Ability to use effective communication skills both verbally and in writing. Using appropriate form and style to express ideas in a clear, through, and concise manner. Ability to actively listen to others.
