Job Summary: 

This position will be responsible for Materials management services related to the oversight and assurance of all material flows including transport, loading, export/import clearance and the integration of materials planning and execution activities of material across all supply chain disciplines and project functions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Purchasing Responsibilities:
  • Procure chemical material requirements needed to produce personal care products.
  • Ensure purchase orders and purchase order confirmations are entered into an AS400 system.
  • Maintain system accuracy on all assigned purchased orders.  
  • The ideal candidate will have a cost-controlled mindset with vendors on purchase price and delivery method.
  • Establish and maintain professional working relationships with vendors.
  • Support purchase order investigation & resolution within the logistics supply chain/ receiving process, (e.g., receipt issues, order quantity & invoice discrepancy etc.)
  • Process monthly internal MRO requests needed to support staff.
• Logistics Responsibilities:
  • Carrier communication and the continual tracking of inbound load assignments.
  • Ensure pick-up and delivery of time-sensitive freight.
  • Work with buyers and vendors, to input shipping details into the transportation portal, to ensure vendor orders are shipped to Marianna ahead of production needs.
  • Collaborate with other members of the organization on incoming fright schedules.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Associates degree in business administration, supply chain, purchasing, logistic, or related field
• Problem solving skills, sound decision making skills, and ability to work independently, as well as on a team.
• Computer-savvy, with a working knowledge of logistics tracking software and MS excel is a plus.
• Must demonstrate great record-keeping skills and customer-oriented approach.
• Ability to demonstrate consistent and accurate follow-up skills.
• Ability to work well and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, handle interruptions, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously, to successfully meet daily goals, required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in related supply chain & logistic field.

Preferred Knowledge, Certifications, Skills, Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferred.

Environmental Conditions:

• Office environment – climate controlled.
