Pharmacist – Casual/On-Call

The Visiting Nurse Association is currently seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Pharmacist who enjoys flexible work schedule while making a difference in the lives of others.

This exciting opportunity offers you the ability to respond to questions regarding agency patients and prepare/dispense medications as needed.

Typical duties include:

  • Complies with all federal, state and local laws and regulations as appropriate for the position.  Complies with all policies and procedures of the agency, including those specified in the employee handbook.
  • Respond to pharmacy related questions regarding agency clients.
  • Prepare and dispense oral and IV medications as ordered, in accordance with Federal and State laws and within pharmacy policy and procedures.
  • Contributes to employee satisfaction through positive interactions and professionalism.
  • Participates in on-call rotation.


  • Active license to practice as a Pharmacist in the State of Nebraska.
  • Pharmacy Degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Two years pharmacy experience required.
  • Valid Driver’s License & Auto Insurance coverage
  • Must have your own reliable transportation
  • Proficient at basic use of a computer/laptop, such as opening and closing Windows applications.
  • Experienced and comfortable with one or more applications such as MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint or E-Mail.  
  • Effective professional communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of standards effectively.
  • This position is a casual position with scheduled weekly hours and on call rotation.
