Sales Representative – Transit Sales

Position Summary

We are seeking a Sales Representative who is passionate about sales, wants a challenge and has a strong work ethic. This is a territory based, outside sales role that has around 25% travel and an opportunity for a hybrid schedule. The ideal individual will play a pivotal role on our sales team, responsible for driving revenue and market expansion within the designated territory as it relates to Transit sales. This position develops, maintains, and interacts with a defined market to achieve sales and increase profitability through a consultative sales process. Building and maintaining strong customer relationships is critical. Success in this role will lead to a competitive compensation package and an exciting work environment.

  • Administer the end-to-end sales cycle for the assigned market(s), including, but not limited to, prospecting new customers, developing existing relationships, closing sales and processing orders as needed.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
  • Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads to meet and exceed company defined sales goals.
  • Maintain communication with existing and previous customers, informing them of new product(s), service or enhancements that may be of interest.
  • Utilize marketing materials, corporate website, demos, and quotations to enhance the sales process.
  • Recommend pricing strategies to leadership as needed based off current market and review of competitors.
  • Partner with engineering department when necessary to aid in the development of new products or modification of existing products based on customer needs.
  • Partner with marketing department, as necessary, to develop and strengthen marketing materials for sales opportunities.
  • Maintain detailed reports of sales activities within customer relationship management (CRM) tool in regards to sales activities such as calls, orders, lost business and any customer/vendor relationship issues that may occur.
  • Utilize inside sales and sales support specialists to facilitate sales cycle/forecasting.

Qualifications

 

  • High school diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
