The Auto Club Group (ACG) provides membership, travel, insurance and financial services offerings to approximately 9 million members and customers across 11 states and 2 U.S. territories through the AAA, Meemic and Fremont brands. Primary Duties and Responsibilities (details of the basic job functions):

Work with customers and underwriters to process consumer loans and support back office consumer loan processing.  Ensure all processes have been followed and all appropriate documentation is present in the file for the completion of loan. Provide support to customers by: servicing loan requests, sending documents to borrowers for review and discussing loan processes to ensure an understanding of the loan process flow and timing.  Process loan payments and payoffs.  Monitor NSFs, non-posts and exceptions and reports. Research and respond to consumer inquiries.  Maintain thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.


Assist management in identifying potential improvements to loan processing workflow and makes recommendations for changes to front end processing systems to ensure maximized efficiency.   Provide input into processing procedures and ensures identified areas of quality service are in compliance with corporate customer satisfaction standards. Perform insurance and lien perfection and general accounting and ledger reconcilement.  Perform other job duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, or related field or additional related work experience

Work Environment:

Work in a temperature-controlled office environment. Work irregular hours and during weekends as needed.

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Record maintenance for consumer systems
  • Consumer loan processing and documentation
  • Loan file creation and maintenance
  • General ledger entries and balancing
  • Loading and auditing loan records
  • Lien perfection functions and title follow-up
  • Monitoring workflow
  • Tracking additional file documentation and follow-up
  • Closing loans
  • Customer service 
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Consumer loan products, services, tax and regulatory issues
  • Consumer loan processing and closing procedures
  • FCRA, ECOA and other federal/state regulations regarding the extension of credit
Ability to:
  • Provide input for application processing procedures
  • Work with loan officers/universal bankers to process consumer loans in an timely manner
  • Perform loan upload process and audit for accuracy
  • Multitask on processing including gathering documentation from a variety of sources
  • Communicate effectively with Chief Lending Officer, Real Estate Loan Operations Specialist, Loan Officers, co-workers, applicants and vendors
  • Work flexible hours including evening and weekends
  • Communicate loan terms, features, and benefits to consumers
  • Use and maintain banking and accounting systems
  • Comprehend underwriting guidelines, programs, and policies
