The primary function of the Clinical Consultant is to conduct functional behavior assessments as well as plan, develop, and monitor a variety of behavior support service delivery options to meet the needs of the people we support who have been diagnosed with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and/or other behavioral and social/communication challenges.
The Clinical Consultant also conducts develops and implements comprehensive behavior support plans/safety plans; consults with and provides training to direct support professionals (residential and day services) regarding evidenced based interventions that will help improve adaptive functioning of the people supported; and collaborates with team members, related service providers, families, and other agencies as appropriate. Additionally, the Clinical Consultant will provide clinical services that correspond with their licensure (LIMHP, LMHP, PLMHP, APRN) or certification (BCBA).
