Production Manager

Production Manger Duties:
• Develop and mentor team to improve knowledge, skills, and effectiveness.
• Ensure production team is properly trained and job functions are clearly defined. 
• Promote, maintain, and enforce safe and healthy working conditions for all employees in accordance with regulatory requirements and company standards. 
• Monitor metrics and key performance indicator's (KPI's) to assess safety, people, quality, cost, inventory, and productivity. 
• Organize production schedules to manage shift operations and meet deadlines. 
• Execute deliverables and throughput targets by establishing priorities. 
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency while delivering high quality products. 
• Manage resources to optimize cost effectiveness at every level of production. 
• Create environment that fosters continuous improvement. 
• Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve upon performance standards.
• Ensure strict adherence to finished quality specifications for every production run.
• Learn the operation, adjustment, and minor repairs of all production equipment.

Production Manager Qualifications: 
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in package development (consumer packaged goods).
• Excellent understanding of mechanical and standardized processes 
• Detailed knowledge of GMP’s in a food production environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Packaging Engineering, or a closely related Engineering field with food packaging operations is ideal
