Immanuel is seeking LPNs within our Omaha communities. This position comes with a competitive compensation package, shift differential and outstanding benefits for all positions FTE 0.7 (28 hours per week) to FTE 1.0 (40 hours per week).

The overall purpose of this position is to assure the residents are cared for mentally, spiritually and in health. The primary responsibilities of this position include ensuring the residents are safe and free from pain or abuse and treated with dignity and respect. Supports and lives out Immanuel's Mission and CHRIST Promises.

Responsibilities

Key Areas	Key Responsibilities and Duties of the Job
Resident Care and Administrative Duties	Assesses status for assigned residents. Records and reports any changes in patient conditions to the Team Lead RN. Assists in planning patient care through and IDT approach and conference. Assists with ongoing assessments & reevaluations. Implements nursing interventions consistent with care of plan. Administers medications and treatments according to policy. Evaluates resident care effectiveness to assure care standards are consistently followed and modify if needed according to nursing policy. Respond to resident calls, anticipate needs and assure patient safety and comfort. Assist in the admission, discharge and transfer process. Demonstrates the ability to perform in an accurate and precise manner in crisis and emergency situations. Assumes responsibility with intravenous therapy and NG insertion following the outlined regulations in the state of license.
Compliance	Assumes responsibility for personal and professional growth through participation in meetings, training and continuing education. Fulfills annual education requirements per policy. Maintains compliance with established policies, procedures and objectives concerning quality, safety, environmental and infection. Monitors systems for accuracy, conducts audits and provides summaries as directed.
Other	Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

Education-

Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the respective state in which he/she is employed is required.

Experience-

Minimum of one (1) year of progressive experience in and assisted living or skilled care community or related experience is required.
Equivalent years of education may substitute for experience requirement.

Other Requirements-

Certification in Basic Life Support and First Aid is preferred or willingness to get certified within 60 days of hire date.
