The overall purpose of this job is to coordinate with communities, centers and staffing resources (internal and external) to ensure all health care shift vacancies are filled in a timely manner. This position will assist with implementing staff scheduling strategies, prepares and analyzes timely staffing data reports and will serve as an elevated user with the health care scheduling software. Supports and lives out Immanuel’s Mission and CHRIST Promises.
Key Responsibilities and Duties of the Job
Staffing / Scheduling
Coordinates on a daily basis health care staffing needs with Assisted Living (AL) and Long-Term Care (LTC) communities and Immanuel Pathway Centers.
Analyzes health care scheduling software reports and cross reference needs to verify vacancies with on-site management.
Prepares staffing needs request for outside agencies.
Coordinates on-site orientations for new agency staff at community/centers.
Coordinates and submits required documentation to IT ensuring access for agency staff.
Assists training new employees on the health care scheduling software.
Coordinates with outside agencies to add/modify agency staff to scheduling software.
Assists AL, LTC, and Pathway Center management with scheduling software needs.
Prepares and analyzes scheduling software dashboard reports.
Acts as back-up to system administrator for scheduling software when manual updates or modifications need to be made in system.
Assists with special projects as requested.
Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
High School Diploma/GED is required.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the respective state in which he/she is employed is preferred.
Associates degree with health care focus preferred.
Equivalent years of experience may substitute for education requirement.
Two (2) years of health care scheduling, workforce optimization, or related experience is required.
Previous experience with workforce management / staff scheduling software required.
Equivalent years of education may substitute for experience requirement.
