Supplemental Instruction Specialist (part-time)
Western Nebraska Community College is currently accepting applications for the part-time position of Supplemental Instruction Specialist. This position will work up to 19 hours per week.
This position is responsible for the implementation of the Supplemental Instruction (SI) program which includes, but is not limited to, the daily operation of the SI program, the recruitment and training of the Supplemental Instruction Leaders, in addition to building collaboration with faculty to identify courses for supplemental instruction. This position will provide evaluation and assessments regarding the program. This position will provide intentional and focused services for underserved student populations, which includes, but is not limited to, students identified as first-generation students, low income, disabled, or “at risk” students.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education. Preference may be given to candidate with a degree in education, psychology, business, or human relations. Master’s degree preferred. Working knowledge of the Supplemental Instruction Program and experience working with underserved or historically marginalized student populations preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record required.
