Welding Adjunct Instructor
Western Nebraska Community College is accepting applications for a Welding Adjunct Instructor for the Scottsbluff Campus.
Responsibilities: Provide student training in one or more of the following; (GMAW) Gas Metal Arc Welding, (SMAW) Shielded Metal Arc Welding, (FCAW) Flux Cored Arc Welding, (GTAW) Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, (OAW/OAC) Oxy-Acetylene Welding & Cutting with instruction leading to AWS certification eligibility. In addition, applicants should be fluent in the (AWS) American Welding Society Welding Code with the ability to provide customized welding process instruction based on the specific industry relevant AWS welding code.
The successful candidate will possess expert skills, knowledge, experience and education in the subject area and a history of successful training or teaching or related occupational work experience. Ability to teach within the late afternoon(s), evening(s), and/or Saturdays. Ability to complete OSHA-10 Hour for General Industry (offered by WNCC).
Minimum degree and experience: Bachelor's Degree and two years industry experience; or Associates Degree with five years industry experience; or no degree and 10 years’ experience plus relevant industry credential(s).
Preference will be given to individuals who have American Welding Society credentials including AWS Certified Welder, Certified Welding Educator or Inspector; OSHA-10 Hour Certification for General Industry.
Start Date: Immediate.
