Welding Adjunct Instructor

Western Nebraska Community College is accepting applications for a Welding Adjunct Instructor for the Scottsbluff Campus.

Responsibilities: Provide student training in one or more of the following; (GMAW) Gas Metal Arc Welding, (SMAW) Shielded Metal Arc Welding, (FCAW) Flux Cored Arc Welding, (GTAW) Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, (OAW/OAC) Oxy-Acetylene Welding & Cutting with instruction leading to AWS certification eligibility. In addition, applicants should be fluent in the (AWS) American Welding Society Welding Code with the ability to provide customized welding process instruction based on the specific industry relevant AWS welding code.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess expert skills, knowledge, experience and education in the subject area and a history of successful training or teaching or related occupational work experience. High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five years of current work experience with industry credentials in the field of Welding, required.  Associates degree preferred.  Ability to teach within the evening time block (typically two nights per week from 5pm – 9pm).  Willingness to complete OSHA-10 Hour for General Industry (offered by WNCC). Willingness to care for and maintain welding lab (AWS-Accredited Test Facility) and all equipment within to the highest degree of industrial professionalism.

Significant work experience in the welding industry, American Welding Society credentials including AWS Certified Welder, Certified Welding Educator or Inspector preferred. OSHA-10 Hour Certification for General Industry, preferred.

Salary:  Commensurate.

Start Date:  Immediate.
