Job Summary:

In a career as a Manager Staff Audiology, you join us in providing life-changing care to patients from across the region. In this role, you will manage assigned teams within the audiological services department at Boys Town National Research Hospital (BTNRH) and ancillary clinics. Manage assigned staff audiologists and administrative support staff. Maintain appropriate staffing to meet patient and clinic needs, oversees day-to-day operations, assists with escalated issues, coaches and mentors staff, and aligns with top level leadership.

Schedule: Full-Time, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Monday-Friday

Location: Pacific Street Clinic

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Manages work and staffing assignments of clinical and support staff, as well as student externs, which may include monthly staff meetings and educational topics.
  • Completes employee evaluations for clinical and/or support staff, as assigned.
  • Coordinates closely with leadership to maintain appropriate staffing and availability of clinical services. Evaluates needs for expansion of services, as needed.
  • Recommends solutions/data around budget, policy development, employee evaluations, personnel issues and equipment acquisition for the Audiology Division.
  • Performs a wide range of routine and advanced audiological tests, as necessary, to determine the type and extent of hearing and vestibular disorders, appropriate assistive devices, proper referrals, and follow-up services.
  • Manages assignment and prioritization of special projects, multi-disciplinary teams, educational programs, and/or clinical research studies.
  • Provides patient care and education according to the patient population served.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an ETB accredited college or university required.
  • Minimum of five years experience in direct audiologic services to hearing-impaired patients of all ages required.
  • Have, or be eligible for, appropriate state licensing and must hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) within (1) one year of transfer or hire required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of hearing disorders for patients of all ages required.
  • Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative(CITI) certification within 30 days of transfer or hire required.
