Sr Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist

The Senior Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist will be responsible for but not limited to generating proposals, invoices, payments received, processing credit card payments, maintaining A/R records etc. You will work across the Youth Care enterprise including the National Training team. You will also act as liaison with our sites and take ownership of new processes. The ideal candidate will be a big picture thinker, detail oriented, and have solid communication skills. This position is a hybrid role.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Conducts billing procedures.

  • Review, generate, and amend proposals by request in timely manner.

  • Prepares, prints, and audits invoices to customers for services and apply payments received.

  • Processes and applies credit card payments, as necessary.

  • Prepares requisitions to refund overpayments when necessary.

  • Performs necessary and timely follow up with customers on aged unpaid accounts receivable.

  • Maintains A/R records and documents adjustments to accounts, including write-offs and increases or decreases of payments

  • Develops, coordinates, and maintains files for financial and statistical reporting; runs and disseminates reports upon request.

  • Participates in changes to the database structure as needed.

  • Provides financial and statistical data for other departments and divisions upon request.

  • Performs business and administrative functions, as necessary.

  • Assists with development and implementation of business objectives to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of proposal and billing activities.

  • Conducts periodic evaluations of activities and existing business systems and methodologies; ensures departmental compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

  • Participates in annual reviews pertaining to service pricing for proposals.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of accounts receivable, finance, and billing procedures and best practices.

  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

  • Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels in the organization and with external business contracts in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining necessary degree of confidentiality.

  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining quality standards.

  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience including finance, accounting, or billing required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
