Job Title:Curricula Development Coordinator
Location: Omaha, NE
Job Summary: The Curricula Development Coordinator consults, trains, and serves as an expert in the design, development, evaluation, and revision of learning products, programs, curriculum, and assessment needs. This position also coordinates with other departments to maintain, enhance, and create new instructor led and on-demand learning solutions for National Training and trains Boys Town Education Model curriculum to staff and clients.
Applies instructional design standard, including needs analysis, review of research, developing learning objectives, and strategies, defining content, selecting appropriate learning approach and activities, storyboarding, testing, surveying and overall course design to quickly deploy coursework.
Develops instructional material and curriculum, coordinates, writes and edits educational content, and incorporates technology into learning solutions.
Manages production process for training materials.
Coordinates new instructor-led, virtual and on-line course development projects as well as maintenance of existing coursework.
Develops a network of resources and subject matter experts to rely on the ongoing development of products and curricula.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams, training staff members, external customers other departments and subject matter experts to gather source content, develop results-oriented training, and meet project milestones; works with IT to further capabilities of delivering online training.
Works on product development teams to develop or obtain source media utilizing still, video, audio, images, and text for use within the online environment utilizing highly specialized editing and development of content.
Builds an enriched multimedia training environment by utilizing online applications to bring together the various training modules and enhances the online training environment using a variety of web technologies to further communication and improve social learning.
Incorporates evaluation tools to measure training effectiveness, edits materials, and manages ongoing review cycles.
Manages the implementation process by collaborating with stakeholders and delivery team members.
Coordinates quality assurance and version control processes within workgroups and across systems.
Researches latest theories and best practices on instructional design and adult learning and incorporate into learnings.
Serves as a role model in carrying out the Father Flanagan's Boys' Home mission.
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Instructional Design, Education, Instructional Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.
3 to 5 years of experience including instructional design, multimedia development and project management; experience with Captivate, Camtasia, and Learning Management Systems is preferred. Experience with Boys Town Education Model and/or Education is preferred.
Available to travel.

Knowledge of computer graphics and design software and ability to use specialized computer software packages (such as Adobe, In Design, Premiere, Flash, Sound booth, Photoshop, Illustrator, Captivate) to create layouts and design.
Ability to interpret the customer's business needs.
Ability to build Web based curriculum based upon a sound understanding of adult learning theories.
Ability to define appropriate learning technology, including multi-media, classroom, web-based, CBT, distance learning self-study classroom, self-study for results focused learning.
Ability to utilize web technologies such as RSS feeds, Blogs, Wikis, Discussion Threads and Podcasts to further communication and social learning.
Ability to establish collaborative working relationships and communicate with individuals at all levels in the organization and with external contracts in an articulate, professional manner.
Ability to juggle multiple projects in parallel, often with changing requirements and priorities and to deliver within tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently in a collaborative environment, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining quality standards.
