Job Title: BT Press Data Specialist
Location: Omaha, NE

Job Summary: The Data Specialist manages the data related to the Boys Town Press to include operational efforts, industry research, collects and monitors data and reporting that drive decision-making.


Maintains customer relationship management system.
Liaises between Press and internal and external clients and vendors for key performance indicators, email and mail lists, and system maintenance.
Enters data into CRM, reviews data entered by others, and scrubs data as needed.
Coordinates implementation of new business processes and procedures; coordinates resolution of problems that may arise from implementation.
Responsible for reporting and sharing data.
Troubleshoots system errors and issues, identifies solutions, and provides system resolution; escalates for system resolution as necessary.
Completes research and data gathering to support departmental goals; reviews collected data.
Updates and maintains consumer databases and maintains lists of materials, contracts, and departmental data.
Collects, enters, and reviews data ensuring the accuracy and security of data; compile and share data. Coordinates website updates; reviews, reports on, and makes recommendations based on website analytics.
Collaborates with key stakeholders to determine needs, develops and monitors processes to obtain the data, and coordinates the execution; collaborates with leadership to determine best practices and coordinate data collection and reporting.
Coordinates process improvement projects by working with department leaders to develop solutions.
Serves as a role model in carrying out the Father Flanagan's Boys' Home mission.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred.
2 to 3 years relevant experience including data collection and review; experience with systems administration, sales and profitability reporting, and/or inventory management preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to demonstrate initiative to accomplish tasks that drive the department forward.
Self-motivated and independent, with the ability to manage time and projects, and collaborate effectively with a team.
Ability to gather, interpret, and document relevant data and complex business processes.
Proficient in using analytical tools and instruments, such as the Microsoft Suite (including Excel and Access), and Web based applications such as CRM or Shopping Cart.
