OVERVIEW OF JOB
As our Information Security Project Manager you will oversee projects involving the planning and implementation of security measures to protect the organizations information and systems. This position manages cross-departmental, enterprise-level projects. In this position you will conduct initial and ongoing analysis to support project direction and monitor project efficacy, completeness, accuracy, and consistency through the project life cycle. You will assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, and communicate with stakeholders to establish priorities and deadlines and to report progress. You will develop and maintain project implementation plans, monitor rollout and progress, and follow up to ensure deliverables were met. You will create sustainable project tasks, processes, and guidelines; set project plan, schedule, and scope. Analyze project data, processes, and systems to ensure projects are well defined, coordinated and managed through completion. Participate in vulnerability lifecycle management, including scheduling vulnerability scans, remediation activities, and change control management. Manage projects related to security governance to ensure security projects align with strategic plans and report progress to leadership. Assist with management and coordination of incident response, crisis and contingency management. Conduct process improvement activities to streamline security operations. Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external resources to foster a security culture and ensure the success of interdepartmental projects.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, OR SKILLS
Bachelors degree or equivalent.
3 to 5 years of experience including project management.
This position is on-call (continuously or rotationally) to provide support.
Knowledge of project management frameworks, processes, and procedures.
Skills in collecting and analyzing data, forecasting timelines, identifying problems, and developing and recommending practical, applicable solutions.
Strong knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft products.
Ability to work independently, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining quality standards.
Negotiation and mediation skills with an ability to mediate crisis situations.
Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization and with external contacts in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining necessary degree of confidentiality.
Ability to translate complex data into understandable conclusions and recommendations.
Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem solving skills.
Project management certifications preferred (PMP).
Information security certifications may be preferred (CISSP, GIAC).
