Boys Town has an amazing opportunity for a talented recruiter to join our dynamic Recruitment Team. This position will source and recruit talented candidates to fill open positions across the nation while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.


  • Plans and implements recruitment and selection activities.

  • Sources, screens, interviews, and selects candidates for referral to hiring managers.

  • Assists managers with the final selection of candidates; provides consultation to hiring managers regarding applicable state contracts as they relate to hiring as well as salary recommendations around internal equity and external competitiveness.

  • Partners with hiring managers on the development of selection criteria and recruiting strategies for available positions; implements recruitment programs for all positions.

  • Coordinates and initiates background checks on prospective candidates.

  • Corresponds with job applicants, government agencies, general public, and staff regarding employment, available positions, and distributes application packets.

  • Coordinates with vendors regarding participation in career fairs, advertisements, etc.

  • Facilitates interview training and applicant tracking classes to educate managers on facets of the hiring process.

  • Identifies and develops strategies for tapping new markets to attract qualified applicants; evaluates marketing strategies for effectively meeting organizational staffing needs.

  • Researches and recommends new recruitment and selection methods.

  • Serves as a role model in carrying out the Father Flanagan's Boys' Home mission.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining employment.

  • Knowledge of employment law, EEOC, and OFCCP Compliance.

  • Knowledge of web-based and social media outlets.

  • High level of professionalism and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

  • Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels in the organization and with business contacts in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining necessary degree of confidentiality.

  • Ability to build and sustain trust to facilitate successful, professional relationships.

  • Ability to work independently in a collaborative environment, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining quality standards.


  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, related field, or equivalent.

  • 2 to 3 years of experience including human resources and recruiting.

  • Available to work evenings and weekends to facilitate recruiting events as needed.


  • PHR or SPHR is preferred.

  • Some areas may require bilingual skills.


  • Position requires little to moderate physical activity. Handling of average weight objects up to 20 pounds, or standing and/or walking or at a keyboard, workstation, or desk.
