OVERVIEW OF JOB
The Clinical Supervisor oversees clinical services provided to youth and families while in a Boys Town program including supervision of all clinical staff and oversight approval of Medicaid reimbursed services. This position also provides therapy services as needed.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, OR SKILLS
Master's degree in area required to meet state licensing regulations.
3 to 5 years of related experience, including supervisory, is preferred.
Available to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
Clinical license in the state of Rhode Island. (LMFT, LIMFT, LMHC, LIMHC, LIMSW, LISWC). Preferred license in the state of Massachusetts or eligible to obtain license in Massachusetts.
Knowledge of the theories, principles and practices of psychology, mental illness, deficiency, deterioration, and personality disorders.
Knowledge of the principles and methods of administering, scoring, and interpreting a wide variety of psychological and vocational tests.
Knowledge of treatment or service planning, psychiatric rehabilitation methods, and psychological research and statistics.
Computer skills in Microsoft Office.
Skill in performing evaluation, diagnosis, and therapy.
Ability to apply psychological principles to therapeutic intervention with individuals, groups and families.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to youth care including Medicaid.
High level of professionalism and interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels in the organization and with external contacts in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining necessary degree of confidentiality.
Ability to build and sustain successful, professional relationships.
Ability to lead a team of associates.
