OVERVIEW OF JOB
The Family Facilitator coordinates and facilitates family and youth team meetings to assist in engaging and empowering clients to be full participants in the meeting process and in the development of a service plan or dream path. You will plan, organize, and facilitate meetings in multi-cultural settings with a broad scope of participants which may include employees, DHS workers, legal personnel, school representatives, therapists, physicians, and extended family members. You will ensure meetings are facilitated effectively, promote unity of effort, and work to engage clients in the process as appropriate. You will assess client needs and abilities to recommend services, monitor and evaluate meeting action plan and appropriateness of care to make recommendations and report on progress. You will utilize de-escalation techniques and handles crisis situations in a manner which minimizes disruption and ensures safety while adhering to defined processes, philosophies, and strategies and ensuring professional boundaries are maintained. All of this while maintaining knowledge of and adhering to contract expectations. You will utilizes your own transportation to travel locally to a variety of meeting locations every day. You may be trained to become a certified Common Sense Parenting Instructor and as a certified instructor you may be asked to conduct Common Sense Parenting (CSP) Courses at designated locations as assigned.
