Medical Assistant

Job Summary:

Full-time position open for experienced Medical Assistant  working within integrated care setting providing primary and behavioral health care.  This is an exceptional opportunity to work in close collaboration with our APRN and utilize organizational and leadership skills in providing physical health services to a vulnerable population. 

Duties include:

  • Assist in triaging patient needs.
  • Provide information and education on chronic disease management, health and wellness, and preventative measures.
  • Register patients and prepare for a visit, including vital signs and measurements.
  • Prepare specimens and perform routine procedures.
  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed by providers.
  • Assist APRN with routine and complex procedures.
  • Record patient information, encounters, and charges utilizing electronic health record and other technology.
  • Order supplies and maintain supply inventory.
  • Clean and stock exam rooms; sterilize equipment and instruments.
  • Perform routine testing and compliance duties.

Qualifications include:

  • Successful completion of Medical Assistant diploma, certification from recognized institution.
  • Minimum three (3) years successful work experience as Medical Assistant
  • Current CPR / BLS certificate
  • Medication Aide Certificate or ability to earn such certificate within 90 days of hire.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, dependability in attendance and timeliness, and ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing work conditions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, and consistently present welcoming, professional, and customer-oriented environment.
