Primary Function: This position serves as a trusted advisor to students, guiding them through the enrollment process at Bellevue University. By leveraging effective consultative techniques and exceptional customer service skills, the Academic Advisor plays a pivotal role in helping students achieve their academic goals.

 

Essential Functions:

 

Enrollment and Advising:

  • Provide personalized guidance to students, tailoring degree plans to their individual needs and career aspirations.
  • Offer comprehensive advising on financial aid options and academic responsibilities.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing within a learning community to enhance student success.

 

Service Functions:

  • Build strong relationships with students and university support departments to ensure a seamless enrollment experience.
  • Collaborate with financial aid, registrar, business office, faculty, and staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Contribute to the achievement of enrollment goals, retention expectations, and student experience metrics.

 

Administrative Functions:

  • Accurately enter student data into university information systems, including Salesforce and Campus Solutions.
  • Manage student financial records, ensuring data accuracy and timely distribution.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in student enrollment or advising preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

 

Other Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills, strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Adaptability and ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Strict adherence to confidentiality standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office environment.
  • May require flexible hours to accommodate student needs.
